Founded in 2001, the Retina Institute of Hawaii is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and laser treatment facilities, which are used to treat macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, retinitis, uveitis, ocular tumors and other eye conditions. The focus is on preventing, suspending or reversing vision loss.

Patient care is at the forefront of the Retina Institute of Hawaii. Doctors and staff work to instill a sense of personal responsibility in a patients’ care and the importance of teamwork in yielding the best possible outcome. They also explain treatment plans in easy-to-understand terms so patients are comfortable and knowledgeable both about their condition and treatment options.
